Native to NZ. Prostrate shrub with wide spreading branches. Leathery leaves often yellow or rust coloured. Red fruit on female plants. Prefers full sun, grows in almost any soil situation, but must have a cool root run. Intolerant of wet, humid sites. Very hardy. Evergreen.
