Smart Tray Lock Seam Roofing

Architectural Metalformers have launched a new addition to their Smart Tray range of products with Smart Tray Lock Seam that fixes directly onto purlins or extruded alumunium rail, not requiring a plywood substrate. 

An exciting new option for high wind zone areas, it has been tested to withstand more than three times the accepted test pressure of a trapezoidal tray roof and eliminated wind uplift to the highest levels.  Lock Seam is also available as a cladding option.

Property owner and architect Robyn Bilkey decided to invest in the new Smart Tray Lock Seam roofing for her new property in Parnell.

“We were very pleased to find a roofing product comparable to the wide-tray types of roofing on the market but without the added cost of plywood sarking. The new roof looks good and performs very well,” comments Robyn on this new system. An innovative approach was taken to the project as described by Greg Hurt, Senior Contracts Manager, “A great modern looking roof that is installed directly on purlins at 450mm centres. It is installed by our qualified roofers to the same specifications and focuses on quality as our full Standing Seam roof but saves the cost of ply and fastenings.”
