Built by Quartersawn this is a bespoke piece made in New Zealand in our Auckland workshop.
This vast home library covers 4 walls including a mezzanine and holds approximately 3000 books. It is constructed from American white oak veneered birch plywood with solid oak edge banding. Sliding dovetails have been used to provide a concealed joint between the shelves and the vertical members.

Quartersawn is owned and operated by craftsman Aaron Bougher. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and previously worked as a structural engineer designing bridges. This has given him a keen eye for details and an in depth understanding of materials. He spent 5 years or 10,000 hours engineering and building his own home, including furniture and cabinetry. He is passionate about craftsmanship and loves bringing pieces of furniture to life.
