Douglas Pearson is a northland based based photographer specialising in travel, landscape and architectural photography. He recently returned home and settled down in beautiful Ngunguru with his whanau after sixteen years of living and working in Europe as a highly successful professional travel photographer. 

He has captured high-end imagery for some of the world's most prestigious image libraries. His images have graced the covers of a large array of international publications including National Geographic Traveller, Lonely Planet, Rough Guides, Wine Spectator, Insight Guides, Living France, Eye Witness, Time Out, Wanderlust, Frommer’s, Berlitz, Cadogan Guides. His images have also been featured in calendars, novels, countless internet uses, CD's, TV adverts, including several large advertising campaigns. 

Doug regularly shoots campaigns for the Whangarei Council as well work for local architects. Doug has twenty years experience in his trade, and brings a broad spectrum of skills to the table.

He has a passion for photographing northlands incredible landscapes, and takes much pleasure in translating the relationship between architecture and the land.

Doug also runs a designer lighting company Retro Soul Design, is an avid surfer, and enjoys collecting vintage surfboards, now numbering over the one hundred mark.
