Heritage Carpets partners with WOOP+ntgrate woven indoor/outdoor rugs made in Spain, Belgian carpet manufacturer modulyss®, Californian manufacturer Bentley Mills and Danish manufacturer Fletco Carpets. 

We work with NZ artist and biophilic designer Miranda Brown on her flooring products, including both collections and custom broadloom and rugs.

Umesh Dayal is the owner-operator of Heritage Carpets NZ. Utterly passionate about carpets, he manages all operations at Heritage. With a background in property and asset management, Umesh combines an understanding of the commercial property market with over a decade of experience in the carpet industry; he understands what designers and developers need and want. A champion for eco-flooring solutions and personal customer service, he’s the problem solver.

Ivy Feng is our Sales Support and right-hand woman to the Managing Director. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in International Business and Commercial Law from the University of Auckland. After internships at Auckland Unlimited and Aladdin International Limited in project development, Ivy is savouring the challenge of a busy and varied role, maintaining and managing international and local relationships.

Boon Han Liew is the muscle behind the operation here at the Heritage Carpets office. He is the one keeping the Sales team well-resourced with the required materials. He keeps our library up to date and sends samples to resellers and designers all around New Zealand.

Suzanne Chamberlain works with Heritage carpets in our marketing role. She brings experience in both social media for SME and in the design industry, with 5 years in costing, procurement and marketing support for an interior design studio and a Bachelor of Architecture under her belt. Suze is passionate about sustainability and working with small businesses to help them grow.

The partners we work with prioritise the good of the environment in the materials used, the processes in the manufacture and through the life of the product. They also look after their staff. We have seen how they operate first hand, so we know they continually strive to do better, moving towards carbon zero. The high quality of the product means it is long-lasting and replaced less frequently than fashion products which is another key attribute for sustainability. This is why, aside from design aesthetics, we choose to work with the brands that we proudly represent.

Our products carry eco-labels and declarations that are recognised in their place of origin, as well as globally. You can read about their accreditations here, and how they fit into the New Zealand Green Building Council Green Star ratings.

As a business, we also strive to do better, reuse and recycle packaging and minimise waste.

We take carpets back at end of life to either return to their place of origin to recycle or to support charities to reuse carpet being removed from fit-outs. Because the quality of our product is so good, the carpet retains its quality past the date of your typical re-fit.
