Auckland law firm Anthony Harper sits sensitively within the curved envelope of the ANZ Building in downtown Auckland. The team at Wingate Architects worked with the challenges of the deep floor plate to create non-hierarchical spaces, zoning with curved platforms and flowing edges between carpet colours.
Winning both an NZIA Interior Architecture and Resene Colour Award for 2024, NZIA describes the spaces on Levels 34 and 35 saying, “materials have been used creatively to great effect.”
Wingates selected DSGN Cloud carpet tiles from Heritage Carpets in two colourways. The commercial carpet tiles were cut and laid to echo the curves of the architecture and delineate zones and accessways within the space. The organic pattern of DSGN Cloud by modulyss is inspired by cloud formations,. The biophilic design calls upon rhythms that connect us to nature, a design device that is proven to contribute to a sense of well-being in a space.
DSGN Cloud contains both pre and post-consumer recycled content, GUT A+ rating, and has building certifications from GECA, BREEAM, LEED, WELL and HQA. All modulyss products have EPD.
