Interior Professionals

The specialist services listed suit residential and commercial work. Commercial fitout professionals can coordinate partitions, joinery, flooring and services, while HVAC professionals plan heating, ventilation and air conditioning around the building layout. Electronics and appliance suppliers can specify integrated appliances, rangehoods, hobs and other equipment before the cabinetry is finalised.

Other categories include home automation, security and fitness equipment. Early coordination sets cable routes, power requirements, ventilation clearances and access panels before the walls close up. Check each professional’s scope against the project brief, consent requirements and construction programme.

Involve these professionals during concept or developed design, before services, joinery and finishes are fixed. Lighting, HVAC, security and appliance requirements can then be coordinated with the plans.

The scope can cover space planning, partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery and building services coordination. Confirm the proposed scope, site responsibilities and programme before work begins.

Review relevant project experience, the written scope, deliverables, fees and timing. For regulated work, confirm responsibility for producer statements, consent information and coordination with other consultants.
