Commercial Bar Layout Design - Surry Hills - Up to 160 sqm

Cradle Design worked closely with 4 Pines Brewing Brewing Co to help expand their brand nationwide through scalable venues. Consolidating three bars and keeping the bar layout design consistent, we were able to successfully replicate the 4 Pines look and feel across all new venues, whilst also allowing their already established brand to naturally mature along the design process.

For their first mini-pub away from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, 4 Pines Brewing Co. settled on a double storey terrace in the heart of Surry Hills. The venue had been unoccupied for a time and provided a perfect canvas for the 4 Pines sustainable hospitality interior design. The commercial bar interior is materiality grounded, textured & layered and celebrates the original form of the space.

The sheet plaster to the downstairs ceiling was stripped off to reveal timber joists and the render was removed from various walls on the upper floor to show off the existing brickwork. Using sustainable interior design materials, the custom bar design was constructed from chunky reclaimed timber boards with a generous bar top wrapped in weathered zinc. Set against this are copper pipes which run across the ceiling from the keg room and drop down to feed the bespoke copper 4 Pines fount.

The commercial bar layout design incorporates banquette, high bench and keg stool seating, providing options for patrons while carefully considered and select lighting choices throughout enhance the relaxed mood of the space.
