The recent refresh of Chorus House by Designworks, located on the corner of Wyndham St and Hobson St, has transformed the building and attracted the attention of the architectural and design community.
The newly renovated Wyndham Street building showcases a sense of sophistication and drama that relates back to the strength and quality of the original 1980s building. Also known as the ‘Pink Tower’, Designworks’ concept for its transformation looked back through the decades, in particular to the classic and timeless era of the 1930s.
ECC provided lighting for both the exterior and interior of the building. Along with the canopy, Up Down lighting were provided for the sides of the entrance and combined with warm interior finishes to provide glow at dusk and into the night.
Inside, Brightgreen Downlights were used to illuminate the reception desk. Underscore from iGuzzini were used to complement the detailing on the linear wood ceiling.
The iconic Flos Taccia table lamp was selected as part of the decorative styling to complement the fitting 30's classic theme. In the seating area and bathroom, custom made wall lights and a large circular pendant can be found to display accents of style confidence.
We were thrilled to find the completed project as a finalist in the 2019 Interior Awards under the 1000m² workspace category.
