Thoughtfully designed kitchen in a 1950s Grey Lynn home, featuring a custom counter inspired by original elements and botanical motifs, while preserving key vintage details to evoke the charm of the era.

The owner of this 1950s home requested the kitchen be designed around a new counter that was sympathetic to the form and style of the worn out original. Using the botanical print of the drapery as a starting point a motif was created and printed into Formica. Close attention to the detail in the counter pattern and the restoration of as many of the original features as possible help to recapture the fifties.

Professional Reviews

1 / 2

“We have engaged Robert as a interior architect for our Newmarket (2014-2015) and Wairau Valley showrooms (2015-2016). Robert delivers on time and does not overpromise. He bills for his work on time and as per the schedule and quotations/estimates. He sees the projects through to their end and follows up after the completion. Robert conducts himself very professionally. He is very approachable and transparent and it is easy to follow through each stage. We hold Robert in very high regard and would not consider using anyone else for our design projects.”
