Positioned on one of New Zealand’s most prestigious stretches of coastline, this Takapuna beachfront residence underwent a complete interior transformation led by Bonham. The project reimagined the home's spatial experience, stripping away visual barriers to celebrate its unrivalled ocean outlook and redefining the interior as a globally inspired, design-forward retreat.
A major architectural move involved removing the original central staircase, instantly unlocking expansive sea views upon entry and creating a more fluid, open-plan layout. The once-heavy timber ceiling paneling was stripped away to allow light to flood the space, while design emphasis was shifted to the floor plane, where custom detailing and refined materials now ground the home in sophistication.
This home now stands as an international-level coastal residence, balancing effortless luxury with eclectic soul. A true expression of place, perspective, and curated detail—designed for both elevated living and quiet, beachfront escape.
