The Evolution homes series of projects was undertaken as an Architect-Builder collaboration, and aimed to produce affordable houses with high performing thermal envelopes. The Arthur's Point home featured insulation well above regulatory minimums, a restrained use of windows which made the most of views and sun, and exposed concrete surfaces to the interior to act as thermal mass and retain heat.
