The home is a masterful fusion of design, vision, and quality, with white tones of brick, concrete and cladding offset by DECO’s timber-look aluminium battens providing a subtle timber softness across the mixed material façade.
Homeowner Tanya King’s vision was to “create a modern home with eclectic elements”.
“”We envisioned an L-shaped layout incorporating natural materials like concrete, stone, and timber, complemented by a blonde brick wall framing the backyard and pool area. We also wanted 'surprise areas' with unexpected colour accents.”
Tanya opted for DecoBatten® 25mm Designer Series across the garage door to bring in the soft timber tones offer by our DecoWood® Curly Birch finish.
“Having used DecoBatten in a previous project, we value its low maintenance and ease of installation. The colour-matched end caps provide a seamless finish, crucial for the garage door’s daily visibility.”
Project Features:
- Seamless Garden Integration: Expansive glazing creates a harmonious connection with the garden, allowing the Australian native plants and mature trees to complement the natural DecoWood timber finish. This alignment enhances the home's natural aesthetic while showcasing the lush greenery visible from nearly every room.
- Durable and Elegant Materials: The choice of DecoBatten® timber-look aluminium battens not only contributes to the home's robust design—ideal for a young family—but also complements the natural materials like stone and concrete. This combination provides both durability and a touch of understated luxury.
- Privacy with Style: The distinctive front brick wall delivers privacy and a unique design statement, while the timber-look battens ensure a cohesive visual connection with the street, maintaining both seclusion and style.
“We often receive enquiries about whether the battens are real timber. DecoBatten's aesthetic perfectly matched our vision without the maintenance concerns of actual timber. We appreciate that it will maintain in its beauty for decades.” sums up Tanya.
