Designed by Hatch Architects and built by Built Complete, Barn House in Randwick balances strong architectural form with material restraint. Natural stone is used throughout the exterior; defining arrival, framing outdoor living, and anchoring the home to its landscape with texture and permanence.

A contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional barn, Barn House by Mona Hashemi of Hatch Architects is defined by strong form, material restraint and a deliberate relationship between architecture and landscape. Natural stone grounds the home, introducing texture and durability across key exterior spaces.

Defined Arrival
Silhouette Grey Granite cobblestones establish a composed and robust entry sequence. Their refined tonal quality provides visual definition while offering the durability required for daily vehicular use
Warm Outdoor Living
Lavarosa Limestone was specified for the terrace areas, introducing warmth and subtle texture underfoot. Its softly aged finish enhances liveability while complementing the home’s architectural form.
Organic Poolside Expression
Cathedral Crazy Paving surrounds the pool, bringing movement and natural variation to the landscape. The irregular stone pattern softens the outdoor environment while maintaining practicality in a high-use zone.
Architectural Focal Point
Summit Stone cladding defines the chimney as a sculptural element within the home’s exterior. Its layered texture adds depth and permanence, reinforcing the barn-inspired character of the design.
