For the exterior, we installed the Resene Construction Systems 60mm Graphex EPS cladding on cavity fixed to the SIP’s panel construction of the house. Finished with the RCS premium Classico 100% acrylic texture with 2 coats of Resene X200 to protect it. The colour is Resene Thunder which is a dark moody grey.

Apart from the Muros brick panel and recycled timber, this house is almost entirely rendered on the inside. While very industrial the result is a very warm, livable house. In these photos the RCS cement multi finish system has been used on the walls or create a poured concrete shutter look with the ceilings having negative details on all gib sheet joins then the multi-finish was polished to create the look of Uni-span pre slabs.

The same polished cement multi finish system was used on the walls and ceilings in the downstairs media room, throughout the hallway and stairwell too.

In the bedrooms, we applied the Resene Construction Systems earthen clay render to the walls. The subtle floated texture compliments the warmth of the recycled rimu timber perfectly. The clay renders also help with humidity control in all the bedrooms making for a wonderful sleeping environment.
