High-end bathroom renovation for an architect's family home, designed to showcase architectural precision whilst solving practical needs. The project added a second toilet to the home's only bathroom for a family of five, maximising functionality through minimal fixtures and intelligent design.

Datum line design principle aligning grout lines, basin, window sill, and mirror cabinets In-wall cistern toilets with minimal fixtures to maximise space Large mirror cabinets providing storage whilst making space feel bigger and brighter Custom LED strip lighting behind mirrors, recessed flush with tiles Continuous LED alignment creating cohesive visual flow around entire room Brushed nickel tapware and shower frame complementing darker tiles

Challenges Overcome:

Aligning mirror cabinet bottoms with fixed window height whilst fitting in-wall cistern Only one toilet brand worked within existing window height constraints Achieving perfect alignment of all horizontal elements around room Christmas period material sourcing delays requiring alternative solutions
