Guys Homestead is a 19th century Victorian villa associated with early European farming activity in Auckland.   The homestead was extensively damaged by fire in 2012.

The project involved the restoration of the homestead and the development of a country style inspired childcare to the rear of the building.

Two contemporary barn structures were constructed to the rear of the homestead forming a partially enclosed courtyard.  A central verandah connnected all three buildings.

The homestead and barn structures were linked by a recessed glazed wall and entry canopy.

The surviving front section of the homestead was salvaged and repositioned and the aesthetic value of the original brick chimneys were restored.
