Elizabeth Cafe

Brief:
The client's brief was to provide a cafe that operated during the working day to service the 450 on-site office workers, their visitors and the public. In addition it was to be open in the evenings for dinner and to act as a weekend destination.

Result:
Function drove the design and positioning of fixed items such as the commercial kitchen, servery counter and fireplace were initial design drivers. These fixed elements became a series of islands or objects within in the space arranged to create a variety of environments. Around these we developed a number of precincts to meet the needs of the differing client groups and provide appropriate day/night environments.
