Ely Residence
The site is situated within a leafy pocket of an inner city suburb, north facing with a view of the Waitemata Harbour. The existing 1960s home was completely original, built with robust materials, all of which have remained untouched since being built. Our brief was to rejuvenate the house, cleverly integrate modern living into this 'timeless classic' while retaining the identity of what was 'bespoke' for its time
