As soon as I meet these clients, I knew this kitchen would be all about those beautiful details and it absolutely is! The clients wanted a traditional country kitchen with a modern luxurious feel that will see them through for years to come.

From the turned balustrade, and tongue & groove panels on the island, the wrap-around skirting and scotia cementing the kitchen into the central space as if it has been there forever; there is so much in this kitchen that has made it an absolute country knockout!

A large 900wide vintage look SMEG freestanding oven sits centrally on the back wall with a custom-built rangehood its crowning glory. Thick wooden shelves dock either side and really show off the tall stud and give the perfect area for my clients to display their special treasures. Pot Draws and a spice pull on either side of the oven means you have everything you need while you are cooking up a storm.

The hub of this kitchen was the Island, my clients didn’t want this to be an area for people to sit at as they had a large dining table. The Island is a perfect combination of form and function, large draws, toe kick draws and a spot for the microwave on one side with a substantial cupboard for platters and dishes on the other anchored by the turned balustrades and wrap around skirting.

It’s a pleasure to think this kitchen will be in this family for years to come.
