This project involves extensive alterations to a large existing family home and the adjacent existing semi-detached minor unit. The first stage of the design was to alter the existing unit to provide a generous permanent home for a single occupant within close range of extended family.
Our client needed a spacious living area with a large north-facing deck which would connect with the main house. She also needed her own garage and new bedroom with toilet/dressing area. The original sitting room and bedroom is now one large space with an enlarged kitchen and bathroom/laundry creating a modern, light and relaxing living area well- connected to the deck, the lush garden beyond, and grandchildren next door.
