The design for the site cleverly found balance of all the elements which were required to be part of the design, by removing the existing fencing the pool deck was created where previously no space was available. The pool pump house was cleverly concealed in kwila timber to look like part of the boundary fencing. The clients’ expectations were exceeded in terms of use of space, they were thrilled to include everything on their wish list. They also needed the pool area to be private from neighbours and not visible from the road, this was achieved through planting and clever placement of the pump house and fence. They also required space saving ideas such as the inground pool cover. The design and built outcome resulted in a happy client and a beautifully designed space which was perfect for their family to enjoy.

Founded by Robert and Ellis Luijten in 2000 and joined by Greg Dreyer in 2013, Luijten Landscaping has enhanced the environment of homes and companies throughout Auckland for almost two decades. The company deals equally with residential and commercial clients. We are a family business and believe in building lasting relationships with our customers from the start. Our landscaping family consists of professional landscapers and project managers with credible, practical experience and a number of landscape apprentices who are at varying stages of their apprenticeship. We have an in-house design team that will present you with a landscaping plan after visiting your site, listening to your ideas and bringing fantastic landscaping solutions for your outdoor space.

At our yard we have built a showroom where our designers can guide you in what materials would best fit your project, e.g. paving, decking, lighting etc. You can also provide an existing plan to quote your project from and then we will guide you through the landscaping works from start to finish. Luijten Landscaping has a nursery that enables us to provide a large selection of the highest quality plants. If the nursery cannot provide the variety or quantity of plants for your project we will happily source them from one of our nationwide suppliers.
