A serene inner-city retreat defined by lush planting, mature trees, & coastal vegetation, carefully composed to deliver privacy & tranquillity while resolving the site’s inherent constraints. Anchored by the Glass House as its central architectural gesture, the project achieved recognition as the Supreme Winner at the Registered Master Landscapers.
The owners sought a glasshouse that would serve as a restorative retreat within their inner-city sanctuary—offering shelter from the elements while framing uninterrupted views toward the beach. The experience is so immersive that its central Auckland setting becomes almost imperceptible.
Their ambition was to fully engage with the expansive grounds and establish a space that provides respite from daily demands. The resulting garden is a serene, mature landscape that delivers precisely the sense of escape they envisioned.
The project was honoured as the Supreme Winner and received multiple Gold awards at the 2021 Registered Master Landscapers Awards.
