Provista Balustrade Systems, has installed Semi-Frameless Glass balustrades to 15 masonry decks of a new apartment development in Hillcrest, Hamilton.

Hillcrest Views is a stylish and contemporary structure developed to provide a high standard of student accommodation close to the Waikato University. It combines low maintenance materials with clean lines and complementary colour combinations. The balustrade features a matt black powder coat finish in keeping with the joinery and other secondary colour schemes.

Hamilton-based Commercial and Residential Construction specialists, Lobell Construction, specified Provista’s ‘Summit’ Semi-frameless solution to provide stylish balustrades to the 9 apartments contained within the development. Managing Director and Senior QS, Ellyse Meredith-Wilkie, advises she chose Provista “because the solution was competitively priced and well presented by the local Provista representative, and the Summit semi-frameless style achieves the unobstructed outlook from the decks that was desired”.

In keeping with the design of the building, the solution also features a ‘Retro’ rectangular handrail profile. Provista’s ‘Ultra’ three-way post profile has been utilised offering completely hidden face-fixings for a very clean and lineal result. The glass utilised is Metro Performance Glass 10mm Toughened Safety Glass.
