This swimming pool was part of a brand new build on top of a steep hill on the South Coast in Wellington with amazing indoor/ outdoor living spaces. With spectacular views across the Cook Strait to the snow covered mountains in the distant South Island, this pool project from Wright Pools & Spas in Wellington really hits the mark.

A steep, super exposed and elevated position meant a challenging install but the unique maxi-rib technology from Compass Pools enables minimal engineering input and a stunning outcome in such tricky and unique locations.  

With the weather forecast very much in mind, a helicopter was needed to lift the pool shell into position, some days a walk of 1km up the steep driveway was needed as there was insufficient room for many vehicles on site; on occasions when the southerly blew it was a struggle even to stand up. However the construction team have ample expertise and experience having to regularly overcome the topographical & meteorological obstacles that are encountered in the Wellington region.  

This maxi-rib 8.2 X Trainer with Vantage self-cleaning and circulation system in Evolution colour complete with an electric Cover Pools cover, automated salt chlorinator, heat pump and LED lighting enables easy owner maintenance and lots of time for enjoyment… when the weather allows!
