Hillside Villas
The client was looking for an easy, centralised lighting, heating and shading system which could be adjusted each day from the app. The app could be used over either tablet, smart phone or web browsers for ease of use anywhere. This remote access to the property is perfect for the client as they can switch things on or off depending on the bookings.
We installed a KNX building control system backbone across all four unit. The appearance of the system was important to the client - we installed Zennio keypads with the thermostatic control and temperature sensors built in to minimise wall clutter. In the ensuites, we used a single wall switch and a humidity sensor for all the modern bathroom controls – this controlled the underfloor heating, mirror demister, fan and lighting.
Energy efficiency was another client requirement, so we also installed door sensors. This meant if a sliding door was left open and the heating left on; the heating will switch off after 2 minutes.
