Taking inspiration from the suburbs of Chicago, it was a dream for the Yellowfox team to renovate this sprawling old home on a Waiheke Island hilltop.

The large, open living spaces and passageways called for dramatic contrasts of black and white which provides a stunning neutral backdrop for the client’s extensive art collection. The more intimate, private wings to the house were treated with deeper tones of colour such as muted charcoals and soft greys from the Resene range, and complimented with luxurious textiles and drapery by The Furnishing Room.

The traditional-style tongue & groove kitchen is characterised by Bestwood 1/4 Cut American Oak. The exterior was also refreshed with a new dark colour palette, which compliments the brick and revives the classic beauty of this home.
