The Auckland City Council has been applying high quality urban design to a number of central city streets, creating "shared space" where cars and pedestrians mingle. ECC worked with the project team to provide the best lighting solution for this scenario.

ECC worked with the project team to provide the best lighting solution for this scenario. The MaxiWoody used in Lorne St was chosen for its specialist street optic lense and 140W CPO-TW lamp. The optic is low glare with high light beam stability. The 20% luminance increase and 15% spacing increase allows larger spacing between poles saving purchasing, maintenance and energy costs.
