This residence is located on an elevated section at the entrance to Jacks Point, Queenstown. The section is one of a kind with its breath taking, undisturbed views towards Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu, the Jacks Point Clubhouse with its surrounding golf course and “The Remarkables” mountain range as a backdrop.
With its beautiful views came a very unusual shaped section which influenced greatly on the buildings footprint. The home has been designed around some simple, energy and cost efficient principles. One of many examples is the low ratio of cubature to building envelope. This enabled us to fulfill the client’s wish list with regards to the amount of desired areas and spaces but also resulted in a very spacious, comfortable and energy efficient home to work, entertain and enjoy life.
