This mid-century inspired kitchen was designed to suit the needs of a busy family, for a striking new build designed by our client & Furze Architecture. Keruing timber frames the back wall with open shelving either side of the integrated rangehood to allow for plants & decorative items.
The window splash back not only allows for the introduction of natural light but also offers a striking pop of greenery. Blum soft closing drawers offer ample storage, & the Keruing timber is repeated in the pantry overhead units. A full package of Fisher Paykel appliances were specified for this design, including the combination of gas & induction hobs to appease all forms of cooking, along with two ovens. The French Door fridge/freezer is located to service both the pantry/coffee prep zone & also the main kitchen, & integrated dish drawers make light work of washing up. The pantry was purposefully left open for practicality & was designed to look smart, & the window was specified as a louvre for both ventilation & texture.
Sleek 12mm Corian benching provides serviceable work surfaces & the island front is finished in painted white bricks to link cohesively to the exterior of the home. Bar stools by Tim Webber add another texture to the island, & brass tapware & vintage pendant lighting add an elegance to this warm & inviting space.
