A luxurious residential project in Middle Dural, showcasing modern Australian architecture by Andrew Donaldson, built by Mallinger Constructions, with landscaping by Rolling Stone Landscapes and pool design by Crystal Pools.
Nestled in Middle Dural, this stunning residential project exemplifies modern Australian architecture. Designed by award-winning architect Andrew Donaldson and built by prestigious Mallinger Constructions, landscaping by award-winning Rolling Stone Landscapes, and pool execution by Crystal Pools, this property harmoniously combines luxury and functionality.
The home’s distinctive vaulted timber ceiling, reaching dramatic 42-degree barn peaks, creates an impressive sense of height and warmth, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame the untouched bush views cascading down to Pangari Creek. The architectural design features six contemporary barn-inspired forms, thoughtfully distributed across five pavilions that span over 1000 sqm of internal living space.
The heart of the home features an open-plan living space where a sophisticated black dining table contrasts beautifully with the natural timber elements overhead. The modern kitchen, with its clean white cabinetry and timber accents, maintains the home’s minimalist yet warm aesthetic. The thoughtful design creates a seamless flow between cooking, dining, and living areas, complemented by sustainability features including a 10.5kW solar system and comprehensive home automation.
Silver Ash Premium Travertine in a tumbled finish is a unifying element throughout the project, extending from the interior flooring to the outdoor spaces and the spectacular 14-meter pool area. This versatile natural stone, with its mid-tone grey base and subtle brown undertones, provides the perfect foundation for indoor and outdoor spaces. The slip rating makes it an ideal choice for pool surrounds, while its natural variations add character and sophistication to the travertine flooring.
The project masterfully balances contemporary home design with natural materials, creating spaces that are both architecturally striking and wonderfully livable. Sustainable elements include Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) structure, recycled Tasmanian Oak, and double-glazed windows throughout. The result is a home that feels both grand and intimate, where modern luxury meets natural warmth, seamlessly integrated into its pristine 5-acre setting.
