Unique Challenges and Solutions:

This renovation presented unique challenges due to the specific design requirements and the need for seamless integration. A significant hurdle was the integration of the hidden scullery, which required a precise sequence of installation. Flooring had to be completed first, followed by cabinetry, countertops, and finally, plastering and painting. This deviated from the typical workflow but was essential to achieve the desired seamless appearance.

Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers within the tight timeline was another challenge. The integration of modern appliances, such as the Miele smart oven, Miele steam oven, and cooktop with downdraft range hood, required careful planning and execution to ensure proper functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Seamless Integration of Modern Luxury:

The client envisioned a kitchen that flowed seamlessly into the living areas, creating a cohesive living space. To achieve this, we removed the wall between the kitchen and lounge, dramatically increasing natural light and creating an open-plan layout. A new sliding door to the deck further enhanced natural light, transforming the once dark room into a bright and inviting space.

The "furniture kitchen" aesthetic was achieved through low-profile cabinetry with a classic-modern style. The island, featuring integrated LED lighting, a pull-out spirits cabinet, and a hidden dishwasher, became a focal point. The hidden scullery, accessed through a seamless sliding door, provided ample storage and kept the main kitchen clutter-free.

The client was "blown away" by the transformation, expressing immense excitement and satisfaction with every aspect of the new kitchen. The open layout, enhanced natural light, and hidden scullery were particularly praised.
