Nelson Airport Upgrade
The first stage of Nelson Airport’s new terminal opened to the public yesterday. This milestone marks 60% completion of the overall redevelopment of Nelson Airport, which is due to be completed in 2019.
Designed by Studio Pacific, the new terminal will meet the requirements of the airport’s anticipated growth and enhance the gateway experience for visitors to the Nelson Tasman region. Stage Two of the redevelopment will now begin, with the existing old terminal due to be demolished to allow for construction of the second part of the new building.

The new terminal is the first stage of the $32 million redevelopment of the airport, which is expected to be complete by October 2019. Horizon has supplied the external landscape paving works.
