Contemporary villa in Mount Maunganui featuring traditional elegance with modern twists, including secret doors, a motorised rotating picture/mirror, and a concealed spa pool for a unique living experience.
This ‘contemporary villa’ located in Mount Maunganui exudes traditional elegance with some modern twists. The owners brief was to make the home a statement of fun and intriguing features; like two secret pivoting doors concealed in coat seat wall feature that leads into a large lounge den, the other a secret door is a bookshelf wall that opens to a private study.
In the lounge a motorised rotating picture/mirror flips to conceal the TV. The soft white and pastel colour scheme accentuates the fine details of exposed rafters and sarked ceilings throughout the home. Adding to the clever sense of fun, a motorised platform raises a concealed spa pool hidden beneath the deck outside.
