Private Project - Sleigh Bed Cot

Hand crafted project for a residential project, in Auckland. Cot and Chest of drawers for a new born baby room.
After hours of hand drawing shapes, scrolls and curves and getting the flow and curve transitions blending nicely, we set off to work.
For this project, we chose the best solid oak and used traditional woodworking and our furniture techniques (plus some help from old-school machinery and hand tools) making sure it complies fully with the NZ/AUS Product Safety Standards. It took over 80 hours of hand carving.
It was truly a labour of love and the project took far longer than first anticipated however that is what happens when you are in love with making exquisite furniture pieces.
