We have recently completed a full refurbishment of the Ibis Hotel here in Kirikiriroa / Hamilton for the owners Accor Group and Tainui Group Holdings Limited. As this hotel had been used as an MIQ Facility it was decided that a complete refurbishment of all 126 rooms and the Food and Beverage areas would be completed post MIQ being disestablished. This project was completed in a compressed timeframe to allow the hotel to reopen in time for Field Days. We were pleased to deliver all 126 rooms to the hotel available for occupancy for Field Days and other pending events.
Managed to Completion
TCL project managed the entire refurbishment from commencement to completion including all the FF&E Management. This involved working with the Accor Group, their purchasing team and Designers to establish the look, feel and budget. TCL drove installation of all the FF&E throughout the hotel and was also involved in the selection, purchasing and staging of artworks and accessories for the Level 1 Food and Beverage areas.
An early procurement policy was adopted for this project with plumbing supplies, bespoke lighting and floor coverings all ordered in advance by TCL to ensure that they were available to the contractor for the refurbishment.
