Roseville
This stunning DESIGN and CONSTRUCT renovation of a circa 1920’s California bungalow is inspired by the original inter-war style which tastefully introduces the luxuries of a modern family home.
Situated within a heritage conservation area, the brief was to maintain the visual authenticity, limit bulk and scale from the street and use modern spaces to connect the inside and out. This design has integrated energy efficiency by managing the sun with large balcony overhangs to the west and casement windows to catch breezes providing passive natural ventilation.
This project was recognised by an architectural judging team for outstanding design, build quality and workmanship in the HIA 2014 Housing Awards.
