Sensitive Heritage Design This project involved a rear extension to a heritage-listed home in Concord, requiring careful planning and a sensitive approach to preserve the original character. After nearly a year of detailed negotiation with Canada Bay Council, the development application was successfully approved, allowing us to deliver a design that respects the home’s heritage while adding modern functionality. Collaboration and Excellence The owners had a high attention to detail, and working on a heritage property always presents unique challenges. I was proud to see the builder excel in all aspects, ultimately winning the 2023 Master Builders Association of NSW Excellence in Housing Award in the Alterations & Additions ($900k–$1M) category. This project highlights how the right team, combined with a client who trusts the design process, can achieve exceptional results. Maximizing Value and Lifestyle In 2024, the owners sold the property, not only recouping their renovation investment but also achieving a substantial profit. The home sold above the market average, setting a new sales record for the neighbourhood, a testament to the quality, design, and strategic vision of the project. ​
