Secluded Beach House

Updating a crowded galley kitchen and old laundry of an architecturally significant beach house by renowned Australian Architect Philip Cox AO, the aim of this project was to ensure the architectural integrity of the house was maintained.
The previously windowless galley kitchen was enlarged into a striking triangular layout with an abundance of natural light streaming in, and more space to enable the owner to embrace her love of entertaining. A new family bathroom replaced an old separated laundry, providing much needed additional internal amenity for the house. A new cedar-clad outdoor beach shower amongst the palm trees provides a carefree means of washing off after a day at the beach.
