Souths Merewether

Souths Merewether, a prominent club located just minutes from Newcastle’s CBD, has undergone significant renovations, transforming its interior spaces to reflect a more contemporary and inviting atmosphere. The refurbishment brings together the latest in design and functionality, offering patrons a premium experience in comfort and aesthetics. One of the most impressive updates can be found in the club’s washrooms, where style meets practicality in a seamless fusion. The design of the new washrooms was spearheaded by Webber Architects, who took an innovative approach by selecting Corian® Solid Surface for the washplanes. Known for its elegant appearance and versatility, Corian® washplanes are rapidly becoming the go-to choice for modern design projects in commercial spaces. The washplanes used at Souths Merewether are no exception, offering a perfect balance between sophisticated design and robust functionality. Corian® Washplanes Corian® is highly customisable, allowing architects and designers to tailor the product to meet specific design briefs, blending seamlessly with various interior styles. In the case of Souths Merewether, Webber Architects chose Corian® Carrara Lino for its marble-like aesthetic, bringing a timeless elegance to the washrooms that complements the overall contemporary feel of the club. Beyond aesthetics, Corian® washplanes are designed for high performance. In a busy establishment like Souths Merewether, where washrooms see high foot traffic daily therefore durability is crucial. Corian® washplanes are renowned for their resilience, being resistant to wear and tear while maintaining their smooth, sleek finish over time. This makes them an ideal choice for environments where longevity and quality are non-negotiable. Hygiene and Low Maintenance In addition to their stylish appeal, Corian® washplanes offer practical benefits that make them particularly suitable for commercial applications. Hygiene is a top priority in any public facility, and Corian® delivers on this front by offering a non-porous surface that is resistant to moisture, bacteria, and stains. This means that the washplanes are easier to clean and maintain, requiring minimal upkeep while still providing a hygienic environment for patrons. The low-maintenance nature of Corian® also reduces the need for frequent repairs or replacements, adding value to the investment over time. Whether it’s day-to-day use or the rigors of a busy weekend crowd, the washplanes at Souths Merewether can withstand it all while maintaining their pristine appearance. Functionality Meets Design The refurbishment of Souths Merewether is a testament to how modern design can be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. By choosing Corian® Carrara Lino washplanes, Webber Architects have succeeded in creating a washroom space that exudes tranquility and sophistication, while also being durable and easy to maintain.
