Splash of Drama

A sense of surprise and drama was the design brief for this bathroom. The homeowners did not want ‘typical’, but they were hot on functionality. Layers of textures create a sense of rhythm and repeat with the Oli stainless steel basin and tapware in matching Gunmetal PVD. The little timber stool echoes the custom-made American Oak vanity unit and the strip lighting around the mirror is repeated under the floating cabinetry. An off-centre basin creates a little drama but also provides functional benchtop space. Repeating the playfulness is a customised mirror to soften the room and the Vela Claybrook bath makes a statement as the centre piece of the space.
