St Paul's Cathedral

Origin’s first professional involvement with St Paul’s Cathedral was back in 2017 when we prepared an extensive conservation plan and condition assessment. After a roof fire broke out in 2020 Origin was engaged to inspect the damage and co-ordinate extensive repairs to the roof and apse areas.

Subsequent to the roof and apse repairs Origin was asked to co-ordinate the re-design the heating system throughout the cathedral and redesign large areas to of the cathedral to be more accessible. These works are ongoing but include provision for a wheelchair platform lift, ramps to replace stairs, accessible showers and wc’s, and child safe areas. During this development process the opportunity will be taken to design new staff facilities, music managers office, music store, practice area, entrance porch, apse flooring, and exterior landscaping
