Steamer Wharf Queenstown

The old NZ railways site on the waterfront of Lake Wakatipu was purchased by the developers of this project. Access to the wharf for coal re-fuelling of the Earnslaw steamer was required, as well as access connecting the parks at each end. The building was inspired by northern hemisphere examples of seaport redevelopments of old warehouse precincts.
