Swedish Summer House
Pitched roofs and sunny aspects evoke memories of Sweden for a couple and their three teens in this reconfiguration and addition in Elsternwick.
Clean architectural shadow lines, flush floor finishes, timber paneling, unpolished natural stone and painted brickwork contribute to the uncluttered sense of peace inside. Mid-century modern classics were referenced to deepen the resonance of this a light, fresh and airy house near the beach, that is at once relaxed and sophisticated.
