Tāhuna in Wai-O-Taiki Bay
Tāhuna in Wai-O-Taiki Bay is an unexpectedly modern project created for our client in 2022. The tilt-slab concrete panel building, sited next to a nature reserve, is designed for nature to enter it on all sides. Massive views of the sky and water dominate the upper living level, and and greenery flows through the property. The concrete exterior is clad with vertical timber, which softens the masses of the house by balancing horizontal views with vertical features.
The attention to detail in this residential project is evident, with the result being a stunning mix of privacy at the street contrasting with expansive views across bush and estuary as soon as you step inside the front door. Proconsult is proud of the work that went into the creation of this award-winning home, which has won the ADNZ Auckland Region New Home over 300m2 award in 2023.
