The Freehouse Nelson

The Freehouse is a Nelson pub and institution. The semi-covered outside eating area needed a heating solution as inventive as the pub itself.
Chapmanz ran hot pipes under the tables to warm the occupants, which connected down the aisle to form church arches, reflective of the pub’s history as a former church. Chapmanz also hoisted old radiators, powder-coated in bright yellow, to act as radiant panels from above.
