Goudie rd was a 1970s weatherboard home moved onto the current site a small life style property in the mid 2000's. The current owner moved into the property and started to make it their own with extensive landscaping a pool and new kitchen and bathroom. However, as the family has grown the need for the owner to have their own space inside the home and a rework of the existing bedrooms to meet family needs became evident. The addition of the master suite was an opportunity for the clients to create a retreat just for themselves. With its own direct entry from the driveway this 114m2 addition and renovation provides the owner with a spacious master bedroom and lounge complete with built in bay window daybed with recessed ceiling blind. Custom built oak shelving and entertainment unit. Spacious ensuite and walk in wardrobe. A curved ceiling detail rising up to the large custom skylight over the masted bed. A level entry deck and a large window that slides back over the cladding opens the room to the outside and garden. Cedar cladding with distinct detailing and design paired with the black aluminium joinery clearly delineates between the old and the new. In the existing home we pushed out an exterior wall further into the deck to provide two spacious double bedrooms with wardrobes, realigned the current hallway and continued it through to the new addition, adding more storage and an office space for the family to use.
