Our task involved providing colour consultancy services to seamlessly integrate our client's existing kitchen with the new remodel completed by a joinery manufacturer. With the client offering valuable input and preferences, we aimed to harmonize colours across the spaces. We opted for Dulux's "Black Caviar" and Resene's "Black White" to complement the black joinery. Transforming the living space included painting the ceiling beams and rendering the fire surround in "Black Caviar," while introducing wallpaper in the hallway and crafting a geometric feature wall in the guest room.
The project presented challenges, particularly in designing the geometric wall and achieving a balanced colour scheme with varying sheens, incorporating metallics, semi-gloss, and low sheen finishes.
