An inner-city house becomes a calming oasis in a busy city
Our clients loved the indoor/outdoor flow, sunshine and space of this Auckland weatherboard house but felt uninspired by its interior style. The goal was to create a comfortable home combining the coastal and vintage style that they both loved.
A soft blue green flora and fauna fabric became the focal point for the design, providing an instant colour palette for the rest of the house. Walls were painted in cool shades of green and blue to complement the sandstone tones of existing flooring, while coastal style furniture was chosen to work in with treasured vintage pieces.
The outcome was an inner city haven with the gorgeous colours of a tropical paradise - a home that the owners love to return to.
