Art-lovers sanctuary in Eastbourne, Wellington.
Situated in idyllic Eastbourne, our clients beautiful double story weatherboard home was very much in need of refreshing after the kids had left home.
Starting the renovation with a new kitchen they soon felt overwhelmed and realised they needed help to get it right.
The couple who enjoy their lifestyle in this gorgeous seaside town asked us to help them create a smart, modern, elegant and timeless interior (with some colour).
The style of the new modern charcoal kitchen was the inspiration for the interior design for the rest of the house.
A textured hardwearing charcoal fabric was purposefully chosen for the sofas in the family room to withstand the harsh NZ light streaming in from the large windows and to allow for relaxed living.
The lovely green accent colours compliment the greens from the beautiful garden surrounding the house.
The charcoal carpet picked to continue the flow to the formal living room, the downstairs bedrooms and other rooms upstairs.
A warm, elegant and inviting environment was created in the formal living with colourful chartreuse furnishings and rich accents of gold and brass.
Room by room the home was transformed into a subtle colourful masterpiece magnified by a curated art collection to enhance the interior design.
It was a lot of fun collaborating with inventive New Zealand artists such as Jane Mason, Odele Morshuis and Sarah Albisser who were commissioned to create meaningful investment pieces of art that our clients really treasure.
